Private Maternity Care Package – What's Included and Not Included
The shared care package covers comprehensive obstetric care throughout your pregnancy and up to six weeks after delivery.
This includes:
- Regular antenatal consultations with your consultant
- Quick reassurance ultrasound during the antenatal appointment
- Your consultant's personal attendance at delivery
- Ward visits while you are in hospital
- Postnatal follow-up appointments up to six weeks after birth
- Ad-hoc appointments when clinically required
- Access to your consultant outside standard clinic hours for urgent advice
- Administrative support throughout your pregnancy
Additional Fees (Not Included in the Package)
Some services are billed separately and are not included in the maternity care package. These are:
- Hospital fees, you will receive a separate invoice from the Kensington Wing for hospital accommodation and services, as well as any blood or urinalysis tests, upon discharge.
- Anaesthetist's fees (the anaesthetist team will invoice you separately after your baby's birth)
- Ultrasound scans, blood tests, and any additional investigations deemed necessary during your pregnancy.
Care Beyond Six Weeks Postnatal
Consultations arranged after your six-week postnatal appointment are not included in the maternity care package and will be invoiced separately at the standard consultation rate.
Invoicing
We bill our clients for a deposit payment of 50% of the quoted fee around 12 weeks of gestation. If you decide to book with us in the 3rd trimester, we may request you to settle up to 80% of the quoted fee.
You will receive the final invoice after delivery.
All invoices received must be paid within 14 days from the date it was sent.
If you’re covered by medical insurance, please inform the billing team at the JS Clinic at your earliest.
All payments are non-returnable after 20 weeks gestation.
Medical Insurance
If you are covered by insurance, we will require a guarantee of payment (GOP) letter, and then we will be able to bill the insurance company directly after you have delivered. Should the insurance not cover the bill in full, the patient would be liable for any shortfall.
A guarantee of payment letter must cover the below:
- The total fee for Professor Johnson’s / Miss Natasha Singh’s services (as the physician/consultant).
- Inpatient care (the delivery)
- Outpatient care (appointments)
- It needs to be separate from the hospital fee GOP as it covers a separate bill, and we cannot use the same payment guarantee against Professor Johnson’s/ Miss Natasha Sing’s fees that the hospital will be using against theirs.
Some insurers may only cover a small proportion of the fees. Therefore, please discuss your policy directly with the provider to be sure what coverage you are entitled to under your policy.
If your insurance company is not able to provide the GOP, we will kindly ask you to settle the bill and will provide an itemised receipt after you have delivered (the receipt can be used to claim your money back from the insurance). The insurance would not cover any treatments that you have not received yet, and usually, the claim needs to be submitted after the treatment is complete.
Please note, that Miss Singh and Professor Johnson do not accept Vitality, Blue Cross Blue Shields and Geo Blue insurance. Miss Singh is not recognised with AXA PPP.
